Brisson Bala Bhavan and Wine ...

One of the best winemakers in Austria, Josef Leberl, Grosshöflein Burgenland, and an excellent wine connoisseur, Dr. Rudolf Angermayr, Wels, created an excellent red wine, "Cuvee Samarpanaram". They not only created a very nice wine to drink but they dedicated the earned profit for our hostel Brisson Bala Bhavan. It began before Christmas with 1000 bottles; meanwhile they have sold almost 4000 bottles of wine.
Brisson Bala Bhavan is so excited about this great idea and so greatful to the families Leberl and Angermayr and to all people who helped to sell the wine. And last but not least: to all those who bought the wine and enjoy its great taste. Prosit.

BRG Wallererstrasse, Wels, Upper Austria, is the partnerschool of Brisson Bala Bhavan

There has been already a long and intense contact between Prof. Ulrike Moser, Prof. Monika Fellinger, Direktor Leo Ludick and the children of Brisson Bala Bhavan. Each one of them sponsors one of the kids and pays for all their educational expenses since many years. Two years ago even some young Austrian students at BRG Wallererstrasse joined the sponsor programme and adopted boys of our hostel as their special friends. They initiated Advent bazaars, sold self-made food and other stuff and donated the amount to our hostel.
During this year’s semester holidays Ulrike Moser, Monika Fellinger and Josef Obermair wanted to see the progress of the boys and arrived on February 14 for a short visit. As seen on the pictures, they did not come empty handed and the boys received a lot of useful gifts and enjoyed their presence.
The visit reached it’s climax when our three guests distributed to each boy, to the hostel guardian, Frs. Mathew and Josef a shirt with an imprinted picture of the Austrian school and the logo of the school in the front: BRG Wels, Wallererstrasse. Partnerschool, Austria.
The boys wanted them to stay longer; but they also know that holidays don’t last forever.

October 31, 2008 Two Guests at Brisson Bala Bhavan

On October 31, 2008 two young ladies, Marlene and Caroline, arrived at Bangaluru airport. Both are from Upper Austria and they just finished their +2 (Matura). Both of them are willing to help in the hostel and - at least for time being - to teach English classes at St. Sara's school in Bangalore. They want to help in our hostel and to tour around in India for about 8 months. Hearty welcome.

June 10, 2008 Margret and Michael

On July 10, 2008 Magret and Michael arrived from Austria. Both are in their finishing stage of their studies at the university in Salzburg (Magret is doing law and Maichael sports). They wanted to experience and see the Indian people, its culture and the country; but moreover, they were interested to work, study and play with our young boys at the hostel. Magret and Maichael stayed until October 6, 2008; they did a wonderful job in the hostel and the kids - actually we all - miss them. >>>more...

June 9, 2008 New Comers of Brisson Bala Bhavan

On Monday June 9, 2008 all the boys and our hostel ward gathered together in the chapel of Samarpanaram to pray for our three new comers of Brisson Bala Bhavan before all of them headed towards the school.
